Accessibility

We welcome everyone and anyone to come and use the garden and we’re always happy to help, but please note: we are not medical or mental healthcare professionals so please bring a support worker, friend or family member along the first time you come if you think you might need one to access the garden.

Creating an accessible space has always been a top priority.

• There is a raised bed area on the patio, with bench seating.

​​

• The main growing area is currently laid with woodchips and soil paths. We are looking to add an accessible path.

​

• The polytunnel is currently on hard ground. We are looking to add a paving stone path down the middle.
   

• There are wheelchair-accessible toilets in Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre. We try to have these open for our meet-up sessions but can't guarantee they will be open. If they are not open, the nearest public toilets are located at the Emery Gate Shopping Centre in town.
